The Smocking Arts Guild of America provides resources for people to preserve and foster the art of smocking and related needlework.
Sadly, the nearest NY chapters are 2-5 hours away. Members here in the Capital District have to travel to Long Island or near Syracuse or head over to Massachhusetts or Connecticut to attend meetings and events. However, if more of us Capital District New Yorkers join, perhaps someday soon we can have enough local members to have our own chapter.
Take a visit to their website for more information and membership information.
