March 2021 Update

Springtime comes with the hope of weddings and school proms. Alterations for these occasions need personal attention. Beginning March 15, ME, MYSELF & I will once again be open for face-to-face appointments. Porch dropoffs will continue to be accepted. You will still need an appointment so that you will have no interaction with others customers. I will be following NYS guidance. Masks are required. Sewing lessons are still on hold.Thank you to those of you who have continued to use ME, MYSELF & I for their alteration needs during this past year.

Thank you for your patience during this COVID-19 emergency.

I will continue with porch drop off and pickup. You can call, or email for a drop off time.

NEW ADDITION: Persons who need one-on-one attention can schedule an appointment. I ask that friends and family please stay at home or stay in your car. There will be only one person in the shop at a time. Masks are required.

Sewing instruction classes are still on hold.

Temporary Changes

I am here for you and I want you to know that. During these uncertain times with everything changing hour by hour, I have made some temporary adjustments, so that I can continue to serve you.

me, myself & I will be open for alterations that can be done without one-on-one contact.  This means that if you know what needs to be done (inches off, inseam length, letting out or putting in, mending, etc.) you can still have the work done.  Anything that needs fittings (prom and wedding dresses, etc.) will have to wait till this health crisis is over.

Until further notice, there will be no sewing instruction.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

My business has always been by appointment only.  That isn’t changing.  You can email me at martha@memyself-i.com, meshermc@gmail.com, or call me at 518 695-4867 to set up a drop-off time. The time will be scheduled so that only one person at a time will be here.

Place your garment(s), curtains, etc. in a bag or tote. In addition, also include instructions (what you would like done), along with your name, address, email address, and phone number.

I will call you to verify that I have your item(s) and review with you what you would like to have done.

When the order is done I will contact you to schedule a pickup time.  Payment can be made in the exact amount by cash or check.

Prom Time

One more week and this years Prom season will be over in my area of New York.

This year I had girls from Saratoga Springs, Galway, Salem, Cambridge, South Glens Falls, Hoosick Falls and Schuylerville.  Some of girls have been coming to the shop for years.  I have had the privilege of watching them become amazing young ladies.  Others, I met for the first time and look forward to seeing them again.

Mom’s, thank you for choosing me, myself & I to do your alterations.

 

All is well. The construction is finished and the doors are open.

Some repairs, some remodeling, some re-organization! And the shop has been transformed!

 

Temperatures dropping

It is 8 am and the temperature is 50 degrees.  The trees are already dropping their leaves.  The ground is covered with them. The tomato plants are dropping their tomatoes even before they have a chance to ripen. The trees and plants seem to know that it is almost time for their season to end.

The flower beds are now blooming in brilliant shades of yellows and golds.  The farm stands have an abundance of pumpkins and mums. These are all signs that Fall is almost here.

I hate packing away my summer clothes and bringing out the cords and long sleeves.  I don’t want to let go of my sandals and will hang in there till the last minute.

The sensible thing to do is to start bringing out the Fall and Winter clothes now.  Don’t wait till the last minute to check for missing buttons, broken zippers, and pants that need to be taken in or let out.   Are you wearing a lower heeled shoe?  Anything need to be shortened?

 

Summer break at me, myself & I

Prom season and wedding season are almost behind us, so it is time to to take a break and regroup.

me, myself & I will be closed from August 16 to August 31.  We will be back in the shop on Thursday, September 1, refreshed and ready to help you.
